Saffron Gummies

Saffron gummies are a daily supplement delivering saffron extract in an easy-to-take chewable form. Novomins Saffron Gummies contain 1000mg of high-strength saffron extract per serving, with vitamin B6, pantothenic acid (B5) and zinc. Saffron has been studied for mood, emotional wellbeing, PMS and sleep. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal psychological function, and zinc contributes to normal cognitive function. They're sugar-free, vegan and strawberry-flavoured.

Yes, saffron is generally considered safe to take daily at supplement doses, and saffron gummies are not habit-forming. Our 1,000mg saffron-equivalent serving sits well within the 1.5g per day generally regarded as safe.

Saffron's link with mood is the most studied area of saffron research. Its natural compounds, crocin, crocetin and safranal, have been studied for their role in emotional wellbeing, and in placebo-controlled human studies adults taking saffron extract daily reported improvements in mood. We've paired it with vitamin B6, which contributes to normal psychological function and the regulation of hormonal activity, and pantothenic acid, which contributes to normal mental performance.

Saffron is the world's most expensive spice, but you'd need far more than a pinch in your paella to match a saffron supplement. It takes around 150,000 hand-picked crocus flowers to make a single kilo, and saffron has been used for its wellbeing properties for nearly 4,000 years. Each serving of our Saffron Gummies delivers 1000mg of saffron extract, more than three times the 28–30mg used in most human studies.

Yes. Every batch of Novomins Saffron Gummies is third-party tested by Eurofins, and independent testing by Defacto Labs verified 108% label accuracy. That matters with saffron: because it's so expensive, cheap saffron products are sometimes bulked out with turmeric, paprika or dyed fibres. Our gummies are made in an NSF- and GMP-certified facility, and they're vegan, Halal, sugar-free and non-GMO.

Researchers believe saffron's compounds, crocin and safranal, may interact with serotonin and dopamine pathways involved in mood. Saffron has also been studied for cognitive function, though that research is at an earlier stage.

Saffron and sleep quality is a growing area of research, with several meta-analyses of randomised trials published since 2022. Results so far are promising, and saffron's link with mood may play a part.

Saffron is a spice best known for its research on mood and emotional wellbeing. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic root traditionally used in Ayurveda, best known for its research on stress. Many people take them together as part of a mind and mood routine.
