Iron is a mineral that the body needs for growth and development. Your body uses iron to make hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body, and myoglobin, a protein that provides oxygen to muscles. Vitamin C increases the iron absorption and contributes to normal collagen formation, cartilage and bones. It also supports nervous and immune systems and psychological function.
Perilla oil, derived from the Perilla frutescens plant, is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, particularly alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, can be beneficial for sleep due to its involvement in the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate sleep. Adequate levels of serotonin are necessary for the conversion to melatonin, the hormone that governs sleep-wake cycles.
